"Business Rescue is not a team sport and it is not a game played around boardroom tables using PowerPoint Presentations or Excel Projections. It is a war being fought on ground level where instructions need to be followed by those being held accountable.”
Business Rescue is still very new to South Africa. A recent survey done by CPM Services has proven that there are still business owners who are completely unfamiliar with its existence, and an alarming amount of business owners that are not familiar with the process.
What is of even greater concern is the amount of distrust that exists with regards to Business Rescue and Business Rescue Practitioners. This is partly due to the presumed high failure rate of business rescues in South Africa.
These rescues fail not because the owners wait too late or because the banks cancel the overdraft or even because the investor pulls out. They fail because the trust in the process is not there. This then results in a combinations of many small actions from concerned creditors and un-known to them these creditors then give birth to their nightmares and the rescue fails.
Our aim has always been to involve the creditors as much as the shareholders and staff and to work together on a symbiotic solution to the problems the distressed business faces. This has largely been the reason for our continued success and this website is aimed at further creating a platform for discussions and transparency.
